General rules

🟡 1.1.1 - Discrimination - Any severe form of discrimination will not be tolerated, including targeting people due to characteristics that include but isn't limited to: age, disability, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion/belief, sex, and sexual orientation. This also includes hate speech

🔴 1.1.2 - Loopholes - Actively using a loophole found in the rules or similar will get you punished as if you broke a rule of similar severity.

🟣 1.1.3 - Lying to staff members - This includes framing a player with forged evidence or similar and justifying actions with edited messages similar. False reports are fine as long as they aren't repeated, reporting rule breakers are encouraged.

🔴 1.1.4 - Harm - Any attempt made to cause harm, whether it be digitally or physically, to someone or a group of people for any reason will not be treated lightly, this includes but isn't limited to doxxing, cyber attacks, harassment, false reporting, sharing private information and identity theft. Threats will also not be tolerated.

🔴 1.1.5 - Advertising - The advertising of any non 'CliffCraft' related server will not be permitted unless permission was granted by an Owner.

🟠 1.1.6 - Alting - The use of alt accounts to avoid bans or to avoid other limitations is prohibited.

🟣 1.1.7 - Impersonating - Impersonating someone, such as a staff member or a town leader, for your own gain is prohibited and strictly discouraged.

🔴 1.1.8 - Discord ToS - Breaking the Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, will get you banned with no chance of appeal. This includes posting any NSFW/NSFL content, scamming of objects (digital or physical) with real life monetary value, and being below the age of 13. For simplicity, all of Discord's rules apply in game as well.

Exploits

🟠 2.2.1 - Accidental server lagging/crashing - Creating large scale farms or crafting extremely large amounts of items might lag the server, if you are found to have been participating in the making or running the machine, you might be contacted to remove certain areas of the machine/reduce the size. If the act is stopped without your consent, compensation will be given. In order to prevent this, you can make a ticket or ask a Developer or above for clarification/approval of your project/actions.

🔴 2.2.2 - Player lagging/crashing - Intentional or not, if the victim dies or if the act contributed to the victim's death, all items will be refunded back to the victim (obviously doesn't count if you're using a lag switch on yourself) and the perpetrator will be punished. This includes lag machines, chunk banning, etc., anything that allows the attacker to gain an unfair advantage or anything that drastically reduces the gameplay experience of the victim (make a ticket or ask a Developer or above for clarification/approval).

🟣 2.2.3 - Duplication - If an exploit relating to the illegal acquisition of any item, whether it be an item/entity duplication exploit or a staff member handing out items outside of refunding, is discovered to be actively perpetrated, all members related to the incident (who have not reported it), will be punished accordingly with varying severity.

🟣 2.2.4 - Intentional server lagging/crashing - This includes purposefully trying to find a way or actively participating in the making or running of anything that may cause server side lag without permission from a Developer or above.

🟠 2.2.5 - Reporting bugs - If you fail to report a serious bug and/or exploit to a member of staff, you might be faced with a punishment if it is deemed applicable.

🔴 2.2.6 - Exploitation of bugs - Intentional or not, if you exploit vanilla Minecraft bugs, or server specific bugs e.g.: block glitching, duplication, teleportation when it's impossible, is either punished by a ban or undoing the caused harm, the punishment is depending on the severity, can be appealed if you think it was out of proportion.

Misc

🔴 2.4.1 - Griefing - This covers destroying large builds without the builder's, owner's, or the town/nation leader's consent. Griefing also includes destroying natural landscape for no reason, mining out chunks or destroying forests to expand your town or to gain resources is allowed, but do so at your own risk.

🔴 2.4.2 - Insiding - This includes stealing resources and materials from chests in claimed chunks outside of war without permission from the owner, also includes breaking sections of your own defence maliciously to allow enemies to gain an advantage they would otherwise not get.

🔴 2.4.3 - Trapping - Intentionally getting someone stuck in a room whilst killing them, which in turn giving the player getting trapped a major disadvantage, is strictly prohibited and discouraged. This includes turning pvp on in your town just to kill a player, and /tp killing. Traps are buildings that are not obvious that it is a trap, e.g., you can't clarify if it is, such as seeing a deep hole with water down, or missing stairs when going up the stairs. Traps are allowed in siege zones.

🔴 2.4.4 - Building traps - Intentionally getting someone stuck by building a trap pre-hand of the fight is considered the same as rule 2.4.3 breaking.

🟠 2.4.5 - Malicious/Unrealistic Claiming - Temporary description, might be changed later. This includes claiming areas to hinder the growth of other towns and making unrealistic claims such as a straight line through Asia. This also covers claiming areas and not filling them in, so that they look to be claimed on Dynmap but aren't. Use /towny map to check and /t claim fill to fill it in.

🟣 2.4.6 - Punishment Evading - This includes using alts or exploits to bypass/evade punishments, however, while muted you can use signs to communicate with others.

🔴 2.4.7 - Screenshare Denial/Bypass - If you refuse a screenshare request from a senior staff member or if anti-screenshare tools are detected, you will be punished.

🟠 2.4.8 - Abusing unintended "features" - There's not much to say here, but this includes kidnapping someone with move craft, or killing someone by dropping uranium near them.

🟠 2.4.9 - Sky-bases during wars - Building up/sky-bases during a siege/war. Exception is when you are building up to hide or to make the player fall from a short tower. If you build up to the max height and fight there, it will be considered as sky-bases.

🟠 2.4.10 - Server Domination - Players belonging to PvP clans are prohibited from engaging in activities intended to dominate the server to the extent that it ruins the fun or experience of others. We believe in fostering a community-driven server where cooperative play and friendly competition are encouraged, rather than allowing PvP clans to overshadow the enjoyment of others and drive them away from the server. Our goal is to create an environment where all players feel valued and can have a positive gaming experience together.

Extra points

❗ Evidence needs to be in the format of a video, ReplayMod file, or similar file type. Screenshots are not usually allowed.

❗ You cannot be punished for something you did more than 1 ban length ago. For example, if you used KillAura 30 days prior to being found out, you cannot be punished for it. Offenses which result in permanent punishments, however, can be reported at any time. (Blackmailing is bannable btw don't do it :3)

❗ All items lost (including durability) caused by a player who at the time was breaking one of the rules will be traced, deleted, then refunded.

❗ Your appeal can and will probably be automatically rejected if you are banned by the anticheat.
